As a Social Enterprise, we are committed to supporting the NHS in providing women with access to specialist mental healthcare before and after having their baby. Our goal is to change the face of perinatal mental health and wellbeing.
Designed specifically for health professionals, our in-house training programmes teach techniques to support and empower mums-to-be and new mothers in vulnerable situations. Our proven methods aim to reduce anxiety, promote self-care and mindfulness techniques and develop and strengthen the bond between mother and baby. All our courses can be tailored to the specific needs of your setting and the families you work with.
Pregnancy Yoga, Breathing and Relaxation
In this 2-day course you will learn techniques for de-stressing mums-to-be and encouraging early bonding and connection with their baby. You will learn postures to teach women to aid heartburn, PGP and back pain. You will also learn supportive techniques for birth. This course includes specific training in Birth Preparation Workshops.
This 2-day course offers health professionals a beautiful way of encouraging eye contact, facial interactions and bonding between mother and baby. It also offers powerful techniques to help calm and soothe babies and support common baby ailments such as wind, colic reflux and constipation.
Mother & Baby Yoga and Relaxation
This 2-day course offers staff a wide repertoire of activities for calming, relaxing and de-stressing women and babies in their care. You will also learn stimulating activities, which offer physical and neurological benefits to babies and which encourage vital bonding between mother and baby. Techniques include:
- healing postnatal and self care exercises
- mindfulness relaxation techniques for mums
- a dry massage routine for baby
- a range of baby yoga moves that aid sleep, colic, wind and constipation and develop strength, flexibility and co-ordination
Head, Hand & Foot Pamper Massage
This 1-day course focuses on techniques for mums-to-be and new mothers who are experiencing low self-esteem, stress, anxiety and depression. The basic massage techniques learnt encourage the release of endorphins to calm, soothe and nurture mums and oxytocin, which aids bonding with their baby. We aim to pamper mums and make them feel special and worthy of care and nurturing at this difficult time for them.
We believe that the work NHS staff do to support women at such a difficult time in their lives is amazing. So we find it a privilege to provide new ideas and techniques to help offer a holistic approach to support the medical care.
