In a recent study of 1,000 mums, 60% of women said they suffered from the ‘baby blues’. Almost 23% of the women suffered from postnatal depression and of those over half (60%) said they didn’t receive the support they needed. 72% of women are nervous about giving birth. At MamaBabyBliss, we are passionate about the wellbeing of mothers, babies and mums-to-be and it is our mission to provide support to mothers, babies and mums-to-be on that precious journey that is motherhood.

As a MamaBabyBliss Teacher, you will be part of one of the best-loved and known mother and baby brands in the UK and you will be able to set up your business and make a difference to mums-to-be, mums and their growing babies in your own licensed area. With more than 10 years experience in offering award-winning classes, no other company in the UK offers such an extensive range of classes in the UK. The MamaBabyBliss training programme and curriculum is truly unique and will enable you to teach a full programme of classes from pregnancy to when a child is three-years-old.

Our training programme is accredited by the IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine). The Baby Massage & Baby Yoga module has been reviewed by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and will be accepted for membership and insurance purposes with relevant pre-requisites in place. Please contact the FHT for further information. All Baby Massage and Baby Yoga Teachers must be insured to teach and annual insurance typically costs around £100.

Our training has been developed by Justina Perry, one of the UK’s leading experts in perinatal wellbeing. The training is delivered by Justina and her team of experienced teacher trainers. All our trainers are also highly experienced MamaBabyBliss teachers and can provide you with essential insights into setting up and running your business.

Motherhood begins in the womb and from our experience of teaching 1000s of mothers, we know that once mums have started our classes, they don’t want to stop. The MamaBabyBliss curriculum includes a programme of modules that will enable you to teach nine class disciplines from pregnancy through to when babies are three-years-old. The training will enable you to offer classes in:

• PregnancyBliss – a class teaching women the techniques and tools to support them throughout pregnancy and birth including breathing, stretches, posture and relaxation.
• MamaBliss – a gentle and nurturing class for new mums that focuses on strengthening, healing and relaxing the body, mind and spirit after birth.
• BabyBliss Baby Massage – a class for new parents in which they will learn techniques to soothe and settle their babies and help alleviate a range of common ailments.
• BabyBliss Baby Yoga – a class for new parents in which they will learn more dynamic techniques to help with their baby’s mental and physical development.
• Baby Yoga ‘Advanced’ – building on the techniques of baby yoga, parents will learn additional techniques that they can practise with their babies as they become more mobile and active
• Baby Yoga ‘PhD’ – a follow-on course to Baby Yoga ‘Advanced’
• Baby Explorers Yoga & Massage – a bridging and preparation course for babies as they move into the active and busy toddler stage
• Movers & Shakers Baby Yoga and Massage – a dynamic class for toddlers from 12 months to 2 years
• Walkers & Talkers Baby Yoga and Massage – a dynamic class for toddlers from 2 years to 3 years
• You will also be trained in running workshops in Childbirth Preparation for Couples and DaddyBliss Workshops for fathers and their babies.

The training you will be given is extremely detailed with a combination of face-to-face training, coursework and practical case studies. It has been developed to the highest standards of health and safety and you will be given thorough and expert training to enable you to teach your classes to the highest professional standards. You don’t need any previous teaching experience only a passion and interest in helping others and sharing the amazing benefits that MamaBabyBliss classes can give to pregnant women, parents and their babies. You also do not need to be a mother yourself, we welcome people with all levels and variety of skills and experiences, you just need a real passion for, and interest in, making a difference to new parents and their babies.

If you have previously trained in certain areas with another provider, you can still undertake our curriculum in order to become a MamaBabyBliss Teacher. Depending on your qualification, we may be able to tailor the training to ensure that you have all the skills you need to deliver the MamaBabyBliss classes to our standards without going over ground already covered.

As a MamaBabyBliss Teacher, you will be part of one the most respected mother and baby brands in the UK. As well as all the training, your franchise business package includes your own licensed area covering 10,000 parents of children from 0-3 years-old. You will also be provided with essential equipment and branded marketing materials which can save you thousands of pounds in set-up and ongoing costs. You will be given this during your training, so that you can begin teaching classes as soon as you qualify in a module. Your package includes:

The total franchise package (including training and the above listed items + territory licence) is £4,750. We are aware that this can be a big commitment and investment to make. However, when you add up all the training, equipment, products and tools you will receive and all the classes that you will be able to offer as revenue streams, our pricing is extremely competitive. We offer payment plans and funding solutions, so please do get in touch with us about payment options.

Yes. Our mission is to make a difference to mothers and babies on this journey, so complementing your MamaBabyBliss business with other skills are fine. However, you cannot promote your business under the MamaBabyBliss brand nor may you promote the MamaBabyBliss business under your other business name. This is standard for all licensed or franchised businesses.

We offer payment plans to help you spread the cost of the training. We also offer access to a low-interest government funded start-up loan provider and can support you with this process. Business loans from high street banks or other funding providers may also be available to help you set up your own licensed business as a MamaBabyBliss teacher. Your local council may also be able to inform you of any support of local community intitiatives that may exist in your area. It is certainly worth you enquiring and we can provide you with a mini business plan to help you kick-start that process.

We have included this question as we receive a number of enquiries from yoga practitioners enquiring as to the distinction between pregnancy yoga and our PregnancyBliss class. All of our classes have been uniquely created to provide women and their babies with the essential support they need to enhance their and their babies’ wellbeing from pregnancy and the early years of motherhood. The PregnancyBliss class has been uniquely designed to empower women throughout their pregnancy and help prepare them for birth. The class is also devoted to helping women to de-stress, reduce anxiety, deal with a variety of ailments associated with pregnancy and help prepare them for birth – mentally, physically and emotionally.

We do this by teaching them a variety of tools and techniques that are founded on the key principles of what we know will help women throughout this incredible journey. This includes breathing, gravity, movement and relaxation.

We do include movement and postures that are ‘yoga-inspired’ but they are by no means the core component. There are a variety of ‘non-yoga’ movements and other techniques including breathing, mindfulness, massage, visualisation, exercises using a fitness ball and much more.

A big element of the class centres on discussion and disseminating information that will empower the women. Because the class is not classified as a yoga class, you therefore do not require the same criteria for training as you do with Pregnancy Yoga.

Yes. All our teachers need to be checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). You will receive information on this during the first training module.

On successful completion of each module you may begin teaching the classes relevant to that module. This means you can start getting a return on your investment within a few months of beginning the course. (This is subject to the training fee having been paid in full).

Once you have successfully completed the first module, there is a monthly membership fee of £55 which will run until the end of your licence. This monthly fee gives you access to your marketing material and business support in order to promote your classes. You will also be given information on what other equipment you need to set up your classes, some of which is provided as part of your training fee. The monthly membership fee also gives you access to:

• Start-up mentor and ongoing support from experienced MBB teachers
• Online booking and administration system that allows you take card payments and manage your business
• National PR and marketing campaigns

As soon as you complete the first module you may begin teaching MamaBabyBliss classes and earning an income. As you complete more modules and teach more classes you can expect your income to increase. You will be given support and mentoring during your training in setting up and running your business. When you become an MBB franchisee and enrol on the MBB Teacher Training Programme you commit becoming a MamaBabyBliss Teacher on qualification for a minimum of three years. Although the skills you learn in the training are transferable, you will not be able to teach licensed MamaBabyBliss classes or use any of the branded materials under your own name.
