About Joanna
I am a mum to two wonderful children and I love being able to support other mums on their journey through pregnancy and being a parent. It was after I experienced the incredible benefits from pregnancy yoga throughout both of my pregnancies, and then baby massage and baby yoga classes, that I decided to become a MamaBabyBliss Teacher. I qualified back in 2011 and love teaching and sharing valuable skills with other parents. I fully understand how special becoming a parent is, but also from personal experience how it isn’t always easy.
Our classes are relaxed and nurturing. My baby and toddler classes are filled with songs, laughter and lots of cuddles. The classes are also a great opportunity to meet new mums and I love seeing how parents become friends and support each other.
Pregnancy Yoga – suitable for all stages of pregnancy from 14 weeks up to your due date and no previous experience of yoga is needed. The sessions include gentle yoga based movements and breathing techniques to help strengthen your body and relax your mind in preparation for birth as well as alleviating some of the discomforts of pregnancy. Each class ends with a beautiful guided relaxation to help ease any anxieties and give you a good nights sleep. Also in each class we talk and cover topics such as ways to relax during pregnancy and how to prepare for birth. They are a great way for mums-to-be to meet and share advice.
Baby Massage – come and learn techniques to soothe and relax your baby, aid digestion and help relieve any wind, constipation or colic. Baby massage is a lovely way for you to relax and enjoy special time with your baby and the classes are also a great way to get out and meet other mums. In the sessions we also have weekly discussions and information to help and support you and your baby. A course includes a free bottle of baby massage oil.
Baby Yoga – is fun for you and your baby and helps to strengthen your baby’s body using gentle stretches and movements. It’s great for neural development, balance and coordination and there’s lots of lovely songs and rhymes to keep your baby entertained. The classes also include gentle yoga stretches for mums and a lovely relaxation at the end of the session. Baby yoga can be done from 8 weeks old up to becoming a toddler.
Toddler Yoga – have a stretch together, breathe, laugh and relax as you and your toddler do some yoga. These classes are great fun to entertain little ones with lots of songs and music, props and sensory lights.
Daddybliss Workshops – specially designed sessions are for Dads to come and learn baby massage techniques and baby yoga moves/ They also have the opportunity to meet and talk with other Dads. A great way for bonding time.
I can also offer private group or one-to-one sessions. If you are a group of mummy friends or an NCT group then I can do a bespoke baby massage or baby yoga course at a location and day-time to suit you. For anyone not wanting to attend a group, anyone with PND or anxiety or tiny babies not ready to go out and about I can do a private session in the comfort of your own home. I feel that it is extremely important that parents are brought together in a relaxed and supportive environment, so each of my venues is chosen very carefully to provide a warm and comfortable place for our classes. I provide yoga mats and cushions for you to sit on.

I discovered Joanna’s classes when I was pregnant and did the PregnancyBliss classes from 14 weeks until 39 weeks, which was the one bit of real ‘me time’ during a fairly hectic working pregnancy and looking after my 6 year old. I always came out feeling very chilled and Tuesday nights were always my best nights sleep! My new daughter Hebe and I then did the massage course which was lovely and some very special time together when she was so little. We have loved both of the baby yoga courses and always come out feeling great, even if we’ve had a bad night or a hectic morning beforehand.

I have been twice to PregnancyBliss and it’s great! Having had to stop Bootcamp and Zumba, this is a bit of exercise perfect for ladies like me. I look forward to it so much and there are excellent tips throughout the session for easing the effects of pregnancy as well tips for when it’s time for labour. As a first time mum to be, it’s also lovely to meet other mums and talk about how we doing in our pregnancies. Cannot recommend Joanna and her classes enough!
