It’s the start of the month, and we thought we should get a bit more personal. You see, MamaBabyBliss couldn’t spread their magic to you all without our wonderful teachers, all of whom undergo over a year of training (with ongoing CPD training) to bring our programme of classes to you.
So today, we want you to meet some of the faces behind our classes so you can delve a little into their world and why they love teaching you all so much.
Our Nottingham pregnancy, baby and toddler massage and yoga classes began 7 years ago, with our first ever teacher, Vanessa Taylor. She ran classes for a few years by herself, and then as word spread how amazing she is and what the baby massage and baby yoga classes provide for parents and babies in the Nottingham area, she decided she needed to spread the love even more, and so recruited another teacher to come on board. Fast forward to 2017 and there are now a team of 4 plus pregnancy pampering therapists who work tirelessly to ensure all mums-to-be, dads, mummies and babies out there have the opportunity to experience the benefits the MamaBabyBliss Nottingham classes bring – not just health and wellbeing aspects from the classes themselves, but the social and emotional support from other parents too!
Meet the Nottingham MamaBabyBliss team!
Vanessa Taylor
“I love being a MamaBabyBliss teacher as I find it a privilege to share in your magical journeys of bringing babies into the world and watching them grow with you. I also love watching all the friendships formed in my classes. Building a successful business here in Nottingham has enabled me to expand my role within MamaBabyBliss to Director and Training Director, training our teachers and staff within NHS settings.
In my classes, my aimis for parents to feel valued and cared for and empowered with skills and techniques to help them through their pregnancy, birth and early days and months of parenthood. I am passionate about parents supporting each other during my classes and sharing self-care techniques to enable them to pamper and nurture themselves as well as their babies. “
Vanessa teaches Pregnancy Bliss Stretch and Relax Classes and Birth Preparation Classes in the luxury of Roko Health Club in West Bridgford, Nottingham, Baby Yoga, Baby Yoga Advanced and Baby Yoga PHD at the popular Hub for new families, The Poppy and Pint, in West Bridgford, and offers pamper treatments in her studio at home . Sharon Smith
“Hi my name is Sharon. Previous to my MamaBabyBliss life I have always worked with children, so being able
to teach a full spectrum of courses from baby massage and baby yoga through to toddler yoga at 3 years old, seeing them grow
, develop and progress is so sorewarding as a teacher. I love being able to share this time with new mummies, and watching the friendships created in class is wonderful. Following mums from bump (in our pregnancy bliss classes) all the way through to toddler yoga is such an amazing
journey. Mums express how the courses have enabled them to share experiences with other mums going through the same things as them, built bonds with their babies in a safe and calm environment and made genuine friendships.
I first found Mamababybliss as a new mum, very tired and a little lost! I loved the sessions and now being able to share my experiences and create this feeling and environment for others is so special to me.”
Sharon teaches a full curriculum of classes in Chilwell, Beeston and West Bridgford, as well as nurseries across Nottinghamshire. Find out more
Estelle Johnson
“What I love about teaching the MBB classes is that the hour and a half class gives mummies a reason to stop and just be with their baby. We lead such busy lives that sometimes unless we make time to slow down we often don’t. The classes build bonds between mummy and baby but they also give mummies the chance to build friendships between themselves and often I see those friendships grow and develop into really supportive groups. The classes are a safe space to say what is really on your mind often laughing or crying or both at the same time! I have the privilege of meeting people at such a special time in their lives – it is one of the most rewarding and exhausting times and I love the fact that these classes focus as much on mummy as they do baby because a happy mummy means a happy baby.”
Estelle teaches Pregnancy Stretch and Relax, Postnatal Nurture and Relax, Pregnancy massage, Baby Massage, Baby yoga foundation, advanced and PHD and coming soon Toddler yoga in Hucknall, Giltbrook and Wollaton (new classes launching here soon). Find out more
Claire Ruggles
“Hi,I’m Claire. What I love most about my classes is being able to provide a relaxed, calm, safe space for mums to be, mums, dads and babies to bond and where friendships form through supporting each other and being totally open and honest. Too many people feel they have to pretend everything about being a mum is great, when actually it can be really quite lonely and hard. Having young children myself, I really understand what you are going through! Seeing the babies benefit from my classes by helping them overcome common ailments such as colic and wind through massage and helping their sense of balance, coordination and brain develop through yoga, along with being there for many ‘firsts’ and having baby cuddles are also amazing parts of my job.”
Claire teaches pregnancy yoga in Mapperley, along with baby massage and baby yoga. She also teaches baby massage and baby yoga in Arnold. Toddler classes are coming soon! In addition to the mum and baby classes she also teaches at Hollies Day Nurseries across Mapperley, Arnold and Sherwood. Find out more
