I have two babies… well a 4 year old and a 2 year old, but as the saying goes they will always be my babies. Before I had children I wasn’t aware of just how much you could love unconditionally… even when they are driving you round the twist. Together with my partner Glen we live in Hucknall, and enjoy spending time outdoors going for picnics and walks and generally wearing the kids out so they sleep!
I became a teacher so I could work and look after my family. When I found MamaBabyBliss Nottingham after my little one was born, it was a welcome relief when others said they had not had much sleep either. It somehow gave me the strength to carry on for another week.
I love seeing the mummies and babies grow throughout the classes and the bonds and friendships to support each other through motherhood and beyond.
My classes are a good balance of fun and information. I am also a massage therapist so in week six on the baby massage course I usually add in a little massage for each mummy.
Here in Nottingham we have the opportunity to work within the Mother and Baby Unit at the QMC offering pregnancy massage and baby massage to help baby bonding. I feel blessed to be able to give a bit of my time back to ensure a mother who is suffering postnatally gets to feel like she is worthy of love and support. It is a stark reminder that anyone can suffer postnatally, and just how important it is to look after ourselves and talk if you need to.
We provide everything you need to attend one of our classes including mats, cushions, towels, blankets and other yoga equipment. All you need to bring is yourself and your bump or baby.

Love how applicable to real life this course has been . I have been using the moves regularly to ease backache and get baby to turn
I’ve learnt a lot from the course. I always find I feel more relaxed and sleep better afterwards. Really nice and relaxing, good to meet other people. Handouts brilliant for home use, great advice.
I just wanted to say how enjoyable I have found the baby yoga; yoga advanced and phd – I really feel it has helped Mollie with her development over the past 8 months – it has definitely helped reduce my stress levels and has been lovely to meet a different set of mums and babies. The course structure, location and delivery is well thought out and works extremely well.
Sophie absolutely LOVED this course -the small group size, space and a very smiley teacher meant Sophie felt comfortable and confident. We’re sad the course is over. Thank you.
