Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m the MamaBabyBliss teacher for Derby. I teach yoga and massage classes for pregnancy, new mums, babies and toddlers.

About me

I’m mum to Eniola and Temilade. As well as being a MamaBabyBliss Teacher, I’m also a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.

I gave birth to my daughter during the first lockdown in April 2020 and then my son in 2021. I participated in MamaBabyBliss classes all the way from pregnancy yoga through to baby massage and baby yoga. I’m a true fan and big believer in the MamaBabyBliss message – that you as a mum are as important as your baby and deserve to be looked after!

By attending MamaBabyBliss classes I found a group of mum friends that are still sharing the parenting journey with me now. It helped me feel confident in my body, empowered during labour, and helped me connect with my babies when the world around me was changing so much. After experiencing the full range of classes (face to face and through Zoom!) I decided I wanted to support mums in the same way I had been supported, and this is how you’ve come to read my page now. 

As well as running classes in English, I run classes using British Sign Language (BSL) for Deaf mums and parents who use BSL as their first language. I have been involved in the Deaf community for many years and have BSL Level 3. I want Deaf women to have equal opportunities to hearing women, and this is why I’m passionate about offering the same classes, but in BSL, to the Deaf community.
