I’m a 43 year old Mum of one 4 year old little dude, Douglas.
I am also a teacher for all things Antenatal and Postnantal through Pregnancy Yoga, Birth Preparation, Baby massage, Baby Yoga and Parenting classes in Derby and Castle Donington.
Then I’m wife to my supporting husband James who keeps me going when I need a little lift, and I have a bad penchant for decent single malt whisky.
I’m an IVF mum to boot, have suffered through infertility for years and still do. I’ve suffered two miscarriages and am the unwilling owner of a bit of a birth trauma story.
What I really mean is I’m here for you. Pregnancy is hard, parenting is hard. Do you know that it’s also bloody amazing?
A midwife once said to me, “this is meant to be fun, come on let’s see what we can do to make this fun for you” that has stuck with me because at that moment it really wasn’t fun.
Spoiler alert! Who knew the first few weeks were so frikin’ hard?
I hadn’t found my parenting buddies who keep me sane, I hadn’t found faith in my Mum instinct, I hadn’t found my strength.
That’s what my classes are about. They are about You. Making you happy, making you care for yourself, helping you find your way.
All whilst having great fun with your wee one and helping them grow. Xxx
I leave feeling very positive about the birth which is a relief because I have been getting quite overwhelmed at the thought of it! I’d love to book in for the next course.Amy Hart – Pregnancy Yoga Castle Donington Derby
I would definitely recommend Mamababybliss and especially Emma. I did pregnancy yoga, baby massage and baby yoga. I loved all the classes in particular I enjoyed baby massage and yoga. Emma helped with massage and exercises to cope and relieve my daughter’s colic and constipation which when you are at home is such a godsend!! Not only did they help my daughter they were a class I looked forward to each week, I met Emma and other wonderful mums I am now lucky to call friends. It is a class I went to and felt able to discuss anything that happened in my week without fear of judgement I was met with sympathetic ears, kind words and chocolate. I laughed and cried and had a truly wonderful time I was able to not only feel like a mummy but also like myself. Thank you Emma we are so sad we no longer can attend your classes.Susanne Edwards – Pregnancy Yoga, Baby Massage & Baby Yoga Castle Donington Derby
I loved the baby yoga classes with Emma. She is so knowledgable about yoga and all things baby related! I always felt very peaceful and relaxed after every class, much needed when you’re a sleep deprived mum! I would recommend this class to any new mum looking to join a group for the first timeKay Maddocks – Baby Yoga Castle Donington Derby
I can’t recommend Emma’s classes enough. I did pregnancy yoga with her, which not only helped me with those pregnancy aches and pains but feel so much more relaxed. I’m also certain it helped me during the birth of my son. I then did baby massage with Emma followed by baby yoga. All were brilliant, the baby classes definitely being mine and my sons favourite time of the week! Emma is so warm, welcoming and supportive and her classes are held in a lovely small and friendly environment. I have also made some lovely friends with other baby bliss mums. Thank you emma, so much. XSarah Jones – Pregnancy Yoga, Baby Massage & Baby Yoga Castle Donington Derby
I really enjoyed the class. You delivered the one to one in such a confident, professional, calm manner, I felt so much at ease and able to relax. The exercises were perfect for how I am feeling at the moment. I really appreciate how you adapt the exercises to take into account individual needs such as pelvic girdle pain. I also like how you discuss some of the theory behind the yoga exercises because it really makes the session meaningful and that’s something I have not had before when doing a previous pregnancy yoga class.Laura Wilkinson – PregnancyBliss Kegworth One to One classes.
Thank you. I have left the course a lot less scared than when I started! I thought the class was really good, very chilled and the time flew by.Claire Garrett – PregnancyBliss Kegworth
I absolutely loved the class. I think you were very professional but allowed and joined in the informality which was great. I’m sorry we ended up staying so much longer but it was lovely to get to know the group and share experiences
I liked that we got a manual to take away, I haven’t been through it yet but planned to do so tonight with my boyfriend so he can learn what we’re doing ready for labour!Laura Neale – PregnancyBliss Kegworth
I found the class very calming and relaxing you were talking through the yoga moves nice and clearly. It was nice to hear a little history about yoga and which muscles are being used. Enjoyed my time and helped with pregnancy issues and opened out my ribs.Zoe Baines – PregnancyBliss Kegworth
