I’m Mum to one gorgeous little IVF miracle Douglas. My family is my world and I teach with MamaBabyBliss because of my own experiences. Every family should have a chance to prepare for Birth and Parenthood, and every Mum and Dad should be supported. That is something I feel fiercely about.
My Pregnancy was an anxious time, and Douglas’ birth even more so. Those first few weeks and months as Mum and Dad were hard, and that is why I do what I do. As a midwife once said to us, ‘You want to enjoy your baby, let’s find a way.’
When I was pregnant I wish I’d taken the PregnancyBliss Yoga class that my friend recommended; now I know how much it would have helped me through a difficult birth. I didn’t ignore her advice twice though, and I loved baby massage with Douglas. Who doesn’t want something that helps with Baby sleep? It soothed him, calmed him, and helped his terrible wind and colic. To this day my son lifts his top and asks for, ‘tickly stroke’, and he’s 3yrs! Now we love Toddler yoga and he does a mean Downward Dog!
I teach my classes in Castle Donington Derby, and I love the way Mums leave feeling calm and relaxed and able to breathe more easily in Pregnancy Yoga. How couples leave me feeling confident and prepared for their baby’s birth. How the Mums leave relaxed and revitalised after Post Natal Yoga; self-care they can achieve with their baby. How the Mums and Dads leave Baby Massage feeling as happy and relaxed as their little ones. How the Mums and Dads leave Baby Yoga and Toddler Yoga relaxed and energised knowing they have had fun, but also supported baby milestones and toddler development.
Every time a Mum or Dad tells me how much I have helped, it makes my day. I love having all the tools and tips to help, and I love the support that they give each other as a group in class. What better job!?
I teach PregnancyBliss Stretch and Relax and The Couples’ Birth Preparation Workshops, with Mama Bliss Nurture and Relax, BabyBliss Massage, Baby Yoga and Toddler Yoga, with Parent and Daddy Workshops.
I really enjoyed the class. You delivered the one to one in such a confident, professional, calm manner, I felt so much at ease and able to relax.
The exercises were perfect for how I am feeling at the moment. I really appreciate how you adapt the exercises to take into account individual needs such as pelvic girdle pain.
I also like how you discuss some of the theory behind the yoga exercises because it really makes the session meaningful and that’s something I have not had before when doing a previous pregnancy yoga class.Laura Wilkinson – PregnancyBliss Kegworth One to One classes.
Thank you. I have left the course a lot less scared than when I started! I thought the class was really good, very chilled and the time flew by.Claire Garrett – PregnancyBliss Kegworth
I absolutely loved the class. I think you were very professional but allowed and joined in the informality which was great. I’m sorry we ended up staying so much longer but it was lovely to get to know the group and share experiences
I liked that we got a manual to take away, I haven’t been through it yet but planned to do so tonight with my boyfriend so he can learn what we’re doing ready for labour!Laura Neale – PregnancyBliss Kegworth
I found the class very calming and relaxing you were talking through the yoga moves nice and clearly. It was nice to hear a little history about yoga and which muscles are being used. Enjoyed my time and helped with pregnancy issues and opened out my ribs.Zoe Baines – PregnancyBliss Kegworth
