Time: 6.45pm-8pm

Set in a small intimate group of maximum 5 participants, this 6-week Pregnancy Yoga course will help to nurture and prepare your body, mind and spirit through natural yoga-based techniques to support you throughout your pregnancy, childbirth and labour.

The session will include pregnancy-specific yoga postures and techniques to help: 

  • Open the hips and bring flexibility to the pelvis
  • Align the posture throughout pregnancy and so help relieve backache and other pregnancy ailments
  • Postures to help strengthen the body and build stamina
  • Breathing techniques for childbirth preparation
  • Yoga on the ball and other supportive techniques such as massage for labour.

Because the class is small, each session can be tailored to your specific stage of pregnancy and so is suitable for all stages of pregnancy from 12 weeks onwards. There is also plenty of time for discussion and every session also ends with a lovely relaxation and visualisation.  

The class is held in a beautiful, tranquil space and mats, yoga balls and all other equipment is provided. There is also plenty of free off-street parking.

The class is taught by Justina Perry, (BA Hons, QIMT, ITEC) who has trained in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga with Birthlight. She has also trained as a Doula and is qualified in Prenatal and Postnatal Massage, Baby Massage and Baby Yoga and she is the Baby Yoga Expert for Pampers.

    I truly believe that my 2nd birth was so very different to my first all due these classes. My first birth involved epidural, ventouse and a 7 day stay in hospital and felt far from natural. I was truly scared of giving birth again. Having done yoga during my first pregnancy I wanted to do it again and have to say that the Mamababybliss classes far surpassed my previous pre-natal yoga experience. I felt more relaxed, slept better, experienced true nurturing and Justina filled me with a belief and longing for a natural, pain free birth experience and that is just what I had. If you are looking for some 'me' time to really leave the stresses of modern day living behind, to bond with your unborn baby and prepare for birth then look no further.

    The MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Yoga course was a wonderful way to prepare me both physically and emotionally for the big day. It was lovely to have a regular time set aside which I knew was just me and my bump. The course gave me practical tools to use both throughout my pregnancy and during labour. It also gave me more understanding of labour which meant I could make choices about the kind of birth I wanted.
    As a result I was able to have the natural birth I had planned and only needed minimal pain relief. Overall it was a more positive birth experience during which I felt calm and in control.
